ABOUT ME
Mount Maunganui based artist Mandy Williams has shared her passion for art and children by creating commissioned pieces for families and original works for the past 17 years.
Whilst her commissioned style is always gently developing, she also enjoys creating original pieces that she can push the boundaries with - constantly evolving through learning to work with different mediums and techniques. Creating unique bodies of work. These are heavily influenced by her surrounds and love for interior design and decorating.
Her recent series ‘Blue Sky Days' is a journey of ‘our story' over the past few years. Starting with rounds pieces created from our bubble, sharing emotions and stillness. Then reaching out to blue skies, finding fun and pleasure, stopping in the moment, enjoying the beauty in front of us. Taking time to play. Mandy has drawn inspiration from the bright simple distinctive styling of the 60s with Palm Spring vibes - with fresh colours ready to bring life into any room.
